to the people around us. Apple's Vision Products Group is seeking a
hands-on, seasoned Media QA Engineer to drive quality and help ship
best-in-class applications and user experiences for visionOS. As a
QA Engineer in our growing organization, you will work to drive
software quality for customer-facing Media apps and Media
Frameworks while working cross-functionally in a dynamic,
team-oriented environment.DescriptionThe ideal person for this role
is a passionate QA engineer who has experience of video streaming
technologies and has experience in automation. This role will
require developing and qualifying customer-focused flows and
ensuring system level quality for media features both functional
and automation focused. You should be able to communicate at a high
level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders.
Your leadership skills will drive communication across multiple
organizations, negotiate various asks and cultivate growth within
the team. You'll be responsible for bringup of test cases
functional, performance and working through complex development
cycles for multiple areas.Minimum QualificationsAt least 5 years of
professional experience as a Software Quality EngineerExperience
with video streaming technology (ex. AVC, HEVC, live streaming
encoders).Working closely with the development team and other
cross-functional teams to ensure product quality is of the highest
level by executing tests for new Media features such as Apple
Immersive videosYou will cover a broad span of test areas involving
functional, performance, and reliability testing. Responsibilities
of this role will include manual and automated testing, writing
automated test cases, triage of issues, reporting on project
progress, and risk analysis.Experience developing UI automation,
preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTestStrong
objective-oriented programming skills preferably in Python and
Swift.Ability to identify the gaps in the existing automation test
cases and close them with a long-term focus in mind. Excellent
analytical, programming, and debugging skills and Strong
communication and collaboration skillsWe are looking for a Quality
Automation Engineer who can work and contribute towards the
automation and testing of Apple Media technologies using Python and
Swift frameworksKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsBS or
higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
experienceHands-on experience working with AR/VR products and
ecosystemsKnowledge of Apple Platform development using Xcode,
Swift, and Objective C preferredExperience with testing consumer
electronics, mobile applications and experiencesProficiency in
scripting languages such as Python preferred and familiarity with
Swift and JavaScript is a plusWorking knowledge of iOS/OS/WatchOS
or other Apple ecosystem productsEducation & ExperienceAdditional
RequirementsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our
total compensation package and is determined within a range. This
provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within
a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and
$293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills,
qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have
