Cohesively. Job Description: Stanford Women's Basketball is looking
to hire a Special Assistant for Student-Athlete Development,
Women's Basketball to join our staff. Reporting directly to the
Head Coach, Stanford is looking for a proactive, innovative leader
to help our program stay at the forefront of collegiate athletics
in a rapidly evolving landscape. Experience in higher education and
a deep understanding of the distinct culture and needs of college
athletes is highly desirable. A strong background and skill set in
sports management and sports marketing is critical. This is an
exempt position with non-traditional work hours and travel
expected. Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Head Coach and team members in managing
calendars (school, basketball, outside activities and
appearances).
- Lead efforts to enhance players' social media presence,
communication skills, and public relations to elevate their
influence and marketability and support the program and players by
helping to build WBB specific strategies through partnerships, NIL
and player activations.
- Work closely in collaboration with in-house NIL General Manager
of Altius Sports Partners to ensure streamlined communication and
alignment of strategic initiatives.
- Partner with compliance and other related teams to ensure NIL
activities align with NCAA regulations and institutional policies
and collaborate with marketing, legal, and external partners to
provide education and resources.
- Assist student-athletes in developing their portfolio of NIL
deals and collaborate with marketing and development offices to
enhance the visibility of the basketball program.
- Partner with DAPER colleagues to discover local, regional, and
national businesses not currently partnered with the University to
explore opportunities for collaboration with Stanford WBB players
through NIL and professional development initiatives.
- Coordinate community service initiatives for the team,
fostering a strong presence within the university and broader
community.
- Coordinate workshops and sessions focused on financial literacy
and long-term financial planning for student-athletes.
- Lead initiatives in community and alumni outreach.
- Serve as liaison to key stakeholders and work with development
to host special guests and donors at home and away games.
- Provide event coordination and execution support for
recruiting, team, and donor events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and have
three years of experience (five years preferred). Combined
experience/education as a substitute for minimum education.
- Ability to acquire competence in applying general personnel
practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of
general administrative services.
- Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related
field ideal.
- Driving is considered an essential job duty, and a valid
driver's license is required. DAPER's Integrity: This position,

regulations. The expected pay range for this position is $90,000 to
$99,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges

reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a
selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but
not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the
qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget
availability, internal equity, geographic location and external
